When I was younger…
I thought tiny people lived in street lights and moved the lights to red, to yellow, to green.
I knew that if your hand or any part of your body stuck out of your covers on your bed someone would grab you/your body.
I was scared to go in the basement because of a boogie man in the back room.
I believed that a crazy guy would be in the shower hiding behind the shower curtain.
I thought that during the night a robber lived in the back porch and in the morning he would leave.
Now that I am wiser…
I know that the city controls the street lights, not tiny people.
I don’t care if my hand or my skin sticks out of the bed covers.
I am not scared to go into my basement because it is redone, also I think how would crazy men get into my house?
I take showers knowing that a crazy guy was not in my shower.
I know that we have a censored light in my porch that would probably scare away the robbers.
